Our Campaign

Campaign One - Fundraising

Our main campaign, as is the case with most charities is fundraising. We fundraise in a variety of ways from store collections, through sponsored events, including the 2008 Marathon & Snowdon Challenge. Back to top

Campaign Two - Public Awareness

A lot of our public awareness comes from the fundraising we do. We have also found that locally organised sponsored events have given us a lot more press coverage. We want to continue raising our profile in the news media, by contacting the various local radio stations. There is of course another important awarness campaign that we do which is to let the very people that we are here to help know that we exist and how they can get help. This awareness campaign is highlighted in the section below. Back to top

Campaign Three - Awareness of The Newly Diagnosed

The most important awareness campaign is intended to let the people who need us most know that we are here to help them. When you are given the diagnosis that you have an incurable disease, the outlook can seem at first very bleak. We provide a location for the team of MS Nurses from The Leicester Royal Infirmary to gather and let the latest group of newly diagnosed know what is available generally to improve their lives and that there are people available to help. Campaign Four - Recruiting

The charity is always in need of more recruits. We are in need of volunteers for everything from running store collections to organising local sponsored events. We are also often in need of volunteers to train in First Aid and help run the Oxygen Therapy and these positions can now be advertised on our website. The final group of people that we are always on the look out to recruit are people that are willing to become 'friends' of the charity and carry out fundraising events independently. Back to top
